Similarly, apart from academics, the school calendar is packed with a lot of activities like the musical play, Science Exhibition, Sports Day, Intra and Inter School Competitions, Talent Shows, Best instrumentalist, painter, dancer and singer of the school competitions, the ‘Gyanvani’ Programmes, Guest Speaker Programmes, Field trips, Competitive Exams, Happy periods, NCC, Clubs, Group Discussions. These are organized to provide exposure to the students and nurture their talents for their all round development.

The school has initiated steps like ‘no formal evaluation upto Grade V’ to do away with the pressure of formal exams from the minds of young children. The concept of ‘Smart Class’ is being introduced to make learning interesting. The concept of CCE will ensure holistic development of each child and provide scope for recognition of their co-scholastic aptitude and skills.

We have been receiving continuous support and constructive feedback from the parents and expect the same in future too. In the new academic session, we seek your co-operation in the following areas:
1)      Please ensure that your child comes neatly and smartly dressed up in proper school uniform.
2)      Girls are not allowed to use cosmetics, ornaments or apply mehendi (even for social reasons). The boys are expected to keep short hair. No fancy hair cut is allowed.
3)      Mobiles, I-pods and other electronic gadgets are banned for the students in the school premises. If any student is found with any of these items, those will be confiscated.
4)      Fast food and the use of poly bags are not allowed in the school with a view to inculcate healthy eating habits and instilling awareness for the environment. Home cooked food with one fruit is recommended in the tiffin which should be wrapped in cloth.
5)      Please give your suggestions if any, in writing through the school almanac. You are requested not to make phone calls to the school for the same.
6)      It is mandatory for every student of the school to subscribe one English newspaper and watch one English news channel. The same should be communicated to the class teacher.
7)      We have added one new bus to our transport. Please ensure that your child reaches the bus stop on time. The bus will not wait for any child and will not enter in any narrow lane.
8)      No child will be sent early from school except on medical grounds.
9)      The fee structure for the new academic session is as follows:

11)    The school is going to celebrate a decade of its inception. A befitting cultural programme is being arranged to celebrate the same.
12)    Subscription of NIE and Darpan is made compulsory for the students in 2012-13. Rs. 200/- is to be paid by each student to the class teachers by 10th April 2012 for the same.

You are requested to submit postdated cheques in favour of ‘Delhi Public School Rajkot’ for all the four quarters (tution and transport) in the Accounts Office by 10th April 2012 as it is not only convenient for you but also for the smooth functioning of the school system.
Special 5% discount will be given if the fee (tution and / or transport) for the whole year is paid by 15th April 2012 and 4% discount will be given if the fee for the whole year is paid by 30th April 2012.
Rs. 25/- and Rs. 10/- per day will be charged, if the tuition fee and transport fee payment is late respectively.

1. We are happy to convey you that our students performed well in X and XII CBSE exams held in March-2011.

·There was 100% result of classes X and XII with no failures and compartments.

·100 marks were secured by one student each in Mathematics and Informatics Practices in XII.

·Two students secured CGPA 10/10 in class X.

2. As decided in the Parent Teacher Council Meeting, subscribing NIE has been made compulsory for all the students, to inculcate reading habit and improve their vocabulary. Please find attached herewith information regarding Newspaper in Education (NIE), a student’s supplement of The Times of India published on a weekly basis. The Annual Subscription Fee for 30 copies is Rs. 60/- only. Please fill in the Subscription Form and return the same to the class teacher alongwith the fee latest by 6^th July 2011, Wednesday.

3. We expect that you will send your child neatly dressed in proper school uniform. Some students are still wearing the very old uniform, which should also discontinue.

4. It has been noticed that some children come to school without having a bath, brushing their teeth or cutting their nails. Please ensure your child follows proper hygiene habits.

5. Applying Mehendi is not allowed in school for girls. Boys should have their hair cut regularly. No fancy hair cut or long hair will be allowed for the boys.

6. Please ensure your ward does not come late to school, in the second route with the Pre-Primary children or by two wheelers.

7. You are requested to encourage fresh food and fruits in the tiffin. Please do not send fast food or packet food.

8. You are requested to communicate with the school through the school almanac and go through the almanac regularly and acknowledge the remarks sent by the teachers in the same.

9. You are requested not to call up the school reception with a request to the teacher to attend to you on telephone during school hours (except in case of emergency) as this disrupts the routine of the school.

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the new academic session 2011-12. Over the years, the school has observed its praxis in both quality education and co-curricular activities to provide the best learning experience to the students.

Similarly, apart from academics, the school calendar was packed with a lot of activities that were organized to provide exposure to students and nurture their talents for their all round development in the academic year 2010-11, like the musical play- Harmony, Science Exhibition, Sports Day, Intra and Inter School Competitions, Talent Shows, Best instrumentalist, painter, dancer and singer of the school competitions, the ‘Gyanvani’ Programmes, Guest Speaker Programmes, Field trips, Competitive Exams, Happy periods, NCC, Clubs, Group Discussions, to name a few.

The school has initiated steps like ‘no formal evaluation upto Grade V’ to do away with the pressure of formal exams from the minds of young children. The concept of ‘Smart Class’ is being introduced from this session to make learning more interesting. The concept of CCE will ensure holistic development of each child and will provide scope for recognition of co-scholastic aptitude and skills of each child. Online tests which were introduced last year will be continued in this session too.

We have been receiving continuous support and constructive feedback from the parents from time to time and we expect the same co-operation in future too. In the new academic session, we seek your greater co-operation in the following:

1) Please ensure that your child comes neatly and smartly dressed up in proper school uniform.

2) Girls are not allowed to use cosmetics or apply mehendi (even for social reasons). The boys are expected to keep short hair. No fancy hair cut will be allowed.

3) Mobiles, I-pods are banned for the students in the school premises. If any student is found with any of these items, they will be confiscated.

4) Fast food and the use of poly bags are not allowed in the school with a view to inculcating healthy eating habits and instilling awareness for the environment. Home cooked food with one fruit is recommended in the tiffin which should be wrapped in cloth.

5) Please give your suggestions if any, in writing through the school almanac. You are requested not to make phone calls in the school for the same.

6) It is mandatory for every student of the school to subscribe one English newspaper and watch one English news channel. The class teacher must be communicated the name of the newspaper and the news channel within two days.

7) Please ensure that your child reaches the bus stop on time. The bus will not wait for any child and will not enter in any narrow lane.

8) Please do not come to take your child early during school hours. It causes disturbance to the functioning of the school and hampers the studies of the child. No child will be sent early from school except on medical grounds.
